Celebrations and Getting Ready for the Holidays

Creatively Crazy With Learning is Celebrating and Getting Ready for the Holidays

Milestone Celebrations
I hit my $20,000.00 in earnings milestone on TPT since beginning back in October 2013 so now it's time for a celebration.
I also just hit 900 followers!
I cannot wait to hit 1,000 so please follow me on TPT and share with a friend if you have not already.
My focus has changed from just supporting first grade to K-2 resources and some 3rd-grade items.

Please note: My name used to be Creatively Crazy in First Grade, but I changed over to
Creatively Crazy With Learning.
I am still trying to update my products to reflect my current information.

Here is my TPT Link access my store directly.

Polar Express Items
I am so excited to get back and prepare my classroom for the holidays. My class will be having a Polar Express Party, but before that takes place, I have some great items in my store that can help you teach this along with this great book/movie.

Copy these two pags front:back. Then have students fold into a tri-fold brochure style.
Read the story, watch the movie, or both and then have students interact with the questions and writing prompts. I find my interactive brochures easy to use, especially if you are short on time.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am spending my Thanksgiving break in Panama City Beach, FL.
Although it is not warm enough to jump in the ocean or pool, there are so many great restaurants, shopping, and things to do here.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and check back for more.
I try to post every Friday a.m. with Doodlebug's Teaching for her Five For Friday.

Looking for more?
Here are my winter products and interactive brochures you can also view.

This week we are using A LOT of technology.
For morning work: Splashmath.com and take a daily Timed Test on the app called, Timed Test FREE
Whole Group Math: Splashmath.com
Small Group Math: I am re-teaching in small group skills students did not do well with from their last benchmark assessment. Then I am using Splashmath.com to reassess on our iPads.

Reading Fluency App
Students can read texts at their own level. It is timed and then students can take comprehension questions.

One of my all time favorites, Hungry Howie Phonics Apps
There are several different skills you can get! (word families, building words and rhyming words, long and short vowels).

1st Grade Phonics App

Happy Easter from my classroom to yours.
I responded to a followers request to allow Flat Stanley come to my classroom.
My students are going to have so much fun writing about their week and sharing with this class.  This is such a great way to teach writing to a real audience.

Birthday Treats & Easter
So this week I celebrated my birthday!
Did you know you can get a FREE drink from Starbucks on your birthday?
I figured that most people already knew about this. Well, if you didn't know...now you do. All you have to do is sign up with an account and become a GREEN or GOLD member by making purchases throughout the year. I also received so many flowers this year of my birthday. It was so nice to get treats like that.

Sooooooo Pretty!

So lastly, we celebrated Easter with a fun Easter Egg Hunt. I made these cute little baskets for my Firsties and gave them a great surprise inside little eggs.

My daughter, Adrianna
XOXOXO

We saw the Easter Bunny at the Mall!

I hope you have a fun Easter!

Valentine's Day Fun

Valentine Fun!
Here are some of my centers in action for Valentine's Week.

Junie B. Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentine
Book Companion
Get it Here!

The Kids loved exchanging valentines with each other. I used red and white bags and let them decorate them with stickers. It was so much easier than covering boxes.

Valentine's Day Fun

We had such a fun time today. Let me share with you what we did.

This is a FREE app for iPads. My students loved making V-day words during center time.

More of my V-Day themed centers!

Black History Month

Get your FREEBIE here!

Check out the MLK Interactive Brochure I made to help celebrate MLK's birthday.

This is what I call an Interactive Brochure. It is a quick and simple way to integrate reading, research, and writing.
Print this front to back and then fold into 3 sections. You will get 6 sections total to work on.

You can use Pebblego.com or Brainpopjr.com to research MLK.
You can also use any resources you have already, books, magazines, videos, etc.

This is a birthday card students can write and create. Fold it and in the inside, you can have students draw pictures of themselves doing something to make the world a better place.
