iPad Fun!

Stay tuned for more iPad lesson to come....
The green 3 reminds me of being sick this week. Somehow I caught a viral thing and I have been out of school for two days running a fever, headache, body aches, etc. It has been the worst pain ever. I went to the Dr. and she said that the strep test and flu test came back negative.

Get ready for Thanksgiving!

Do you want a cute way to teach fractions?

Halloween & Math & Thanksgiving
We had so much fun during the weeks before and now after Halloween.
It's hard to get everything in that I want to do.
Here are some samples of my Bones, Skulls, and Candycorn graphing page; available in my TPT store, here:

Check these items out!

Addition
We are working on learning about addition and subtraction strategies.
We used the number pieces app to represent numbers digitally.
Students can add two one digit numbers or even move their way up to adding in the 100's.

My example I modeled on the Activboard before students made their own.
This was made using the app and then I mirrored my iPad to the AppleTV which is hooked up to my ActivBoard.

Word Problems
Do you want a fun way to teach students how to write their own word problems?
Have students write their own and then record themselves explaining how to solve it using the Show Me app.

My class is continuing to impress me with their math skills by playing the Splash Math app.
I have students who have struggled all year long with math and now I am finally seeing some progress and mastery of standards. This comes at a very important time of the school year when I am reassessing and preparing for our BIG test; which we take next week.

Check out these pics of my kiddos working on Splash Math!
