Black History Month

Get your FREEBIE here!

Check out the MLK Interactive Brochure I made to help celebrate MLK's birthday.

This is what I call an Interactive Brochure. It is a quick and simple way to integrate reading, research, and writing.
Print this front to back and then fold into 3 sections. You will get 6 sections total to work on.

You can use Pebblego.com or Brainpopjr.com to research MLK.
You can also use any resources you have already, books, magazines, videos, etc.

This is a birthday card students can write and create. Fold it and in the inside, you can have students draw pictures of themselves doing something to make the world a better place.

100th Day Poster Freebie

I used this poster and put it onto my Activboard. Then I kept a list of all the fun things we did on the 100th day of school.

We LOVED using Gonoodle.com to add some movement into our day. We love using this website daily, especially when we cannot go outside to play.

100th Day Non-Standard Measuring Task/Center

We played race to 100! You can play this with partners or up to 5 students at a time.

We made 100th Day Math Hats!
Thank you
http://aspoonfuloflearning.blogspot.com/2014/01/100th-day-of-school.html
We used 10 different colors and then students either put 10 stickers or 10 Bingo Dots on each strip. Then I measured their heads and made a hat. After that, you criss-cross each strip to form a King's type hat.

We had a word challenge and these two lovelies were the winners! I can write 100 words.

What an awesome day!
We went into the computer lab and created 100th day pictures using

Happy New Year! {2015}

Happy New Year!

{2015}

Here is a sample that my daughter, Adrianna, who is in 2nd grade created. We decided to attach it to some colorful scrapbooking paper and then tie on fun ribbon. What a fun way to set goals!
